Happy Feet

It seems a lot of my posts have been about shoes lately. And now that I think about it, they've all been about these shoes! For good reason, my friends. For good reason. I mean, when you can walk home 6+ blocks in such relatively high platforms, still looking good and feeling spunky? And when they are simply the perfect color for the season and can be worn with about a zillion outfits? My feet have never been happier.

Cardigan - LOFT / Top - Gap / Skinnes - Gap / Belt - LOFT
Handbag - Banana Republic / Sandals - Nine West

The top is my final (for now) Gap sale rack find from last week. I'm so glad I snagged it because it was one that I had been quietly lusting after when it first came out and, like a good little girl, refused to pay full price for it. It's quite a flattering little top. Feminine, fitted, pretty. All good things. I may even wear it without a cardigan in the summer months, and I rarely meet a sleeveless top that'd make me consider such a thing.

It's one of those fluttery tops that lend themselves well to skinny bottoms, and I simply love navy and coral these days - hence the shoes. I'm also considering my coral skinnies for a future outfit! And my teal pencil skirt, and...

  2. First of all, you've really given coral shoe lust. Alas, I cannot wear high-heels without mucking up my knees and I've had such a challenge finding cute coral flats. I'm not giving up yet!

Secondly, I would love to see photos of your jewelry collection. I love the pieces you wear. You always seem to find unique and edgy pieces I simply adore.

    Have a grateful day!

  3. Love this outfit!  Everytime I see one of your posts with your Gap skinny jeans, I tell myself that I've gotta get some!  I've been searching for the perfect pair of skinnies for months, only to end up each time determining that skinny jeans just aren't meant for a curvy girl like me.  Your skinnies have inspired me though, to try what The Gap has to offer!  Question for you - which cut of Gap skinny jeans are yours, and did you find that you had to size up?  I haven't ordered bottoms from the Gap in forever, and shopping in person and trying on first is not going to be an easy feat for me, with three little ones!  Do you find that your size in Gap skinny jeans is consistent with your size at Loft/NY&Co/Lane Bryant, etc.?

  4. hello and thanks! these are the pair i own. I wear the same size i do everywhere else - 16 - but they definitely need a good break-in period. i'm not a fan of how low-rise they are, since it emphasizes the ol' muffin top, but Spanx and paying careful attention to proportions helps me work around that. I do love the wash and the length, and they've been a good starting pint for all things skinnies. i've been thinking about saving up for a pair of Not Your Daughter's Jeans skinnies, since they're higher rise and could help the midsection fit, but for now, these will do. =)
