Something's Gotta Give

Ever see that movie with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson - Something's Gotta Give? Aside from it being a thoroughly enjoyable movie, I always marveled at DK's wardrobe in the flick - a warm palette of whites and creams...together. At first I thought that pairing was odd. Doesn't that wash a girl out? And where's the color? (One of the points the movie is trying to make, actually.) Somewhere in the back of my mind I always thought the white and cream clashed, too - two rights making a wrong. Well, I got over it. This cozy autumn number is inspired by Diane Keaton in the Hamptons and two rights making more right.

And the love of these totally amazing boots.

And being supremely comfortable all day.

Sweater - The Limited / Tee - LOFT / Dark skinnies - Gap / Boots - Ciao Bella (via DSW) / Bag - Furla (via Avelle - my time with her is running short) / Necklace - The Limited / Earrings - Banana Republic / Ring - Banana Republic

P.S. The "warmify" button in Picasa has become my new ally - especially when beautiful fall colors make an appearance in my backdrop.

  1. I wish there was a like button on blogs. Those Gap skinnies look great on you.

  2. I love this! That sweater looks SO cute and comfy, and the boots are fabulous!

  3. BEAUTIFUL!! Thanks for the boot info, they're EXACTLY what I'm looking for too! :)

  4. Those boots look fab ... and the white and cream looks lovely. I agree, the movie was a blast ... I laughed and cried in it.

  5. I love the look, the "warmifying," and the new site!

  6. In love this look. Its like a hug personified in clothing! I saw a Coach bag with similar colors and have been dreaming about it at night...lol. I think this is definitely a case of all around rightness! :P

  7. I thought the EXACT same thing in that movie... who does that? White with cream is insane? Do I own white and cream? I must own more white and cream. Thank you for reminding me!

Thank you so much for commenting! Reading what you have to say truly makes my day!
