All That Lingers

Santa was pretty darn good to me this year. Among other things, an iPhone, gorgeous boots, a fabulous necklace and a cute little reminder of an inside joke between Bobby and me. But now my shopaholic ways continue in earnest...

Things that I just couldn't help pulling the plug on:
Mine!
Geneve Brass Earrings
shopruche.com

Drinks & Dots sleep set
lanebryant.com

Marcel Dress
lucielu.com

Sativa Dress
lucielu.com

Tartan Boucle Blazer
anthropologie.com

A cute, casual faux wrap dress is marvelous thing, and in two irresistible prints? Mine! And who can resist pajamas, really. That particular yoke-style top looks good on busty gals like me when going bra-less for bedtime. Jewelry from Ruche? Some of my favorite things to stalk. I got a number of rings that were on my wishlist for my birthday and Christmas, but those two pieces just spoke to me. (I'm really just trying to replicate this outfit, piece by piece.) I always like seeing what "curvy plus sized" pieces they add, too; this dotty tunic strikes me as having lots of potential. (Skinnies? black leggings?) I couldn't resist that cute little planner/journal/scrapbook, either. It had been out of stock for a long time, so I snagged it as quickly as possible. I shall use it for blogging, methinks. And that plaid blazer from Anthro? Scored with 50% off sale for a mere $35!! My first wearing will most certainly look something like this.

Now, things that I'm obsessively stalking contemplating (to the point of madness):
Want!
Spot drape side dress
dorothyperkins.com

Antique Magnolias Blouse
anthropologie.com

Taupe graduated spot top
dorothyperkins.com

Green dandelion print snood
dorothyperkins.com

Paprika heart print snood
dorothyperkins.com

Animal sateen pencil skirt
dorothyperkins.com

Ginger/black polka dot snood
dorothyperkins.com

I really don't think any of this needs explanation... Dots? Animal print pencil skirt? Infinity scarves? Red pumps? Heaven, help me. You are welcome to either enable me or talk me out of it. My bank account (and the boyfriend) would probably thank you for the latter.

As I Primp

I've had a lovely birthday so far, complete with a free peppermint white mocha from Starbucks, pedi/mani/eyebrow waxing (c/o Bobby), and lots of love from friends and family. But I'm really getting excited for tonight's dinner festivities and to finally get into that sexy teal dress from Kiyonna!

Since I won't likely get outfit or other fun pictures posted until tomorrow, I thought I'd share a few things I'm hoping to get for my birthday and/or Christmas! (Oh, the joys of being a late December baby...)
Hey Jade Necklace - Modcloth

As we all know, I love a statement necklace. This one reminds me of one Kendi has and wears often, and I know I could get equal wear-time out of it. T'would be a great pop of color for nearly any outfit!

Women's Alleyne Pump - Samanta (via Amazaon)

Oh perfect red shoes, how you allude me so. When I think about my already ridiculous overflowing collection of footwear, the one basic missing is a pair of beautiful, all-season, all-occasion red pumps, ones that still scream "Jessica!" With their true red color and unique top-stitching and cut, I'm convinced these are they. And they come in my size (11) and then some (up to 14)!

Antique Magnolias Blouse - Anthropologie

I don't know about you, but I'm always stalking the Anthropologie website, constantly putting favorites on my wishlist. Sometimes I get them, more often I don't. This top is one I keep coming back to. Utterly gorgeous, it's everything I love about the feminine, structured, unique pieces that Anthro offers, and I know I could wear it with everything from jeans to a pencil skirt. But, at $188, it's pricey even with my 15% off birthday discount. We'll be making an Anthro store trip (for returns) while traveling, so if they have this top I may just try it on, and I may either fall out love or even deeper into it. And then I'll hope for a gift card. =))

Buxom's Big & Healthy Lip Polish is simply the best lip gloss ever. I don't like wearing lipstick, so these give the right amount of color and shine, and a fantastic tingle that even pumps up the lips a bit. I go through mine like water, whether by use or loss, so I shall always welcome more - a great stocking stuffer! My favorite shade is Sandy - a neutral pinky shade that's perfect dressed up or down.

Save The Earth Eco Fusion Porcelain Mug - Ruche

I'm an avid coffee addict drinker. Could there by any cuter - and eco-friendly - way to drink up? Also hoping to get my hands on the best of the best Kona Fancy from Maui Coffee Roasters. Or at least (more) Starbucks cards. =)

New England Patriots Women's Sweater Mix Jacket - Touch by Alyssa Milano  (NFL Shop)

We're huge Patriots fans. Bob's East coast loyalties meets my (latent) Midwestern football sensibilities and kind of creates a monster - or at least a very pleased boyfriend. I love to wear team gear but want to still look cute while wearing it. Alyssa Milano's line of just such girl-pleasing apparel, Touch, hits the mark every time. I have a jersey, tee and a few tops already; I'm just wanting to round it all out with this fabulous zip-up.

I may be the last person to not yet have the new iPhone - or any iPhone, for that matter. Though I've had T-Mobile for as long as have had a mobile phone, my contract is up and I'm ready to jump ship and on to that bandwagon. Besides, after 7 years, I think it's time Bob and I get on a family plan, no?

That's not too much, right?? ; )

What's on all of your wishlists this season??

I've Caught the ASOS Bug

My ASOS wishlist has grown exponentially. I think I can officially say I'm obsessed. (Am I the last one?) Now I just need to take the leap and buy something... Too bad I can't justify it right now. Waiting every so impatiently for a sale or coupon...

Also, I find it compelling that the Curve models are much more attractive that the straight models. Some of them just look downright ill. (I must admit I chose the backside picture of the model whom I found most frightening.) I don't mind - in fact I rather relish in it - but what gives?? I mean, YIKES!

Must-Haves

A night of Baby Swiss Cheez-Its, Lindeman's Framboise, mindless TV, and online shopping means only one thing! It's wish list time...

Cultural Heritage Skirt - Yoana Baraschi (Anthropologie)

You know I'm a sucker for a pencil skirt. Just think of the possibilities with that neutral but delightful print! Swoon...

Legacy Wrap Dress in Dandelion Print - Kiyonna

A printed wrap dress is the (fashion) world's most perfect camouflage, don't you think? I've been eying these Kiyonna wrap dresses for awhile now, and this print must have recently been added. It's just perfect for spring! Now only if they'd get my size back in stock...

Blooming Goldenrod Dress - Edme & Esyllte (Anthropologie)

A pretty dress with pretty details is just, well, pretty! I love everything about this little dress - the color palette, the scoop neck, the big bow. Hmm, this might be a good reward when I hit my 10% goal on Weight Watchers, methinks!

Furla "Yoko" Large Shoulder Handbag - BBOS

A big metallic handbag? Yes, please!

Hondo 3 - Guess (via Piperlime)

Nude pumps on are on everyone's must-have lists this season, and once I found these fabulous platform patent open-toed lovelies, I knew I found just the pair for me! Thanks to a coupon and free shipping, these babies are on their way to me now!

Sick Day

First of all, I apologize for the previous ghost post that might have popped up in your Google Reader. I was experimenting with some new settings on Polyvore and they got the best of me!

Second of all, I'm still sick. Still. After a week of feeling miserable with no end in sight, I finally decided to go to the doctor so they could hook me up with the good drugs. We'll see if I actually sleep through the night without coughing every 10 minutes... I've been in and out of work all week, but I simply had to go in today. I even did my hair! But, once I got home I was so beat that I just couldn't fathom outfit pictures and the subsequent blog post. On the plus side, I'll get to wear today's outfit (and actually post it) again sooner than later!

But since I've been absent yet again for longer than I'd like, I wanted to share a few wishlist/outfit ideas in lieu of the outfit of the day. Birthday dinner, Christmas dinner and New Year's Eve are all approaching rapidly, and a girl's gotta find some new duds! Bonus: Boyfriend is taking me to Anthropologie in Chicago for a birthday shopping trip (hurray for 15% off birthday discount!), so you better believe I've got a growing wish list to share...

The first set is based around skinny jeans/jeggings. I just love the look lately, especially with those darn hot boots of mine. I love this pieced-together-looking Anthropologie sweater wrap, layered over a comfy but colorful tee.

Things to Wear with Skinnies 1

These next few outfits are based again on skinnies, one with this fantastic plaid capelet from Anthropologie that I simply must have, and a similarly shaped neutral belted jacket (also from Anthropologie), each layered with a comfy neutral tee, perhaps in grey or cream. Add some statement jewelry (Banana Republic of course!), and you've got an easy, chic ensemble.

Things to Wear with Skinnies 2

But really, this is where it's all at: New Year's! New Year's is also my anniversary with boyfriend - this year it's 6 years! I'm not yet sure what I'm going to wear at all. I had toyed with revisiting this outfit from last weekend, considering how fabulous I felt in it. But the Anthropologie dress featured below, now that it's gone on sale, is something I keep coming back to. Add some dusty blue tights, navy suede pumps and I think It would be the perfect winter/celebratory outfit! I'd feel like a sonsy little snow bunny! Another option is, you bet, a grey pencil skirt with this amazing printed wool cardigan, again with fantastic navy suede shoes. (Hmm, it seems blue might be a theme..) Decisions, decisions!

New Year's Outfits

What's on your wishlist this holiday? More importantly, what are you going to WEAR to all these fantastic holiday celebrations coming up!?!

Cop-out, or Wishlists Galore

I'll go ahead and ask it. Why do Mondays have to be so hard? Between not sleeping well at all, having to go in to work early to approve payroll, and needing to crank out next month's staff schedule, I'm lucky I even managed to do my hair - and even that was half-assed. Yep, I hate to admit it, but I took a day off from looking my best. So, I send my apologies out into the blogisphere; there will be no outfit pictures today. Cuffed jeans, a nautical inspired short-sleeve hoodie (which is actually rather fun - maybe I'll just include a picture of that), and basic sandals were all I could muster today. I think I looked passably cute for my casual office and a quiet, but busy Monday, but nothing worth spending hours taking and editing perfect pictures for this lttle blog of mine.  =7

Photobucket

Notice my look of surprise that this came out half-way decent!

But, I do love me some Polyvore, so I thought I'd compile my wishlist(s) for the fall! I mean, you gotta look at something more than that. Those stripes make a girl dizzy...
